Tamiko joined the administrative team of Just, Gurr & Associates in February 2017. A graduate of Humboldt State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Art History, she interned as an assistant to the curator of 20th century art at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and then worked at an art gallery in San Francisco. A Bay Area native, Tamiko moved back to the San Jose area where she worked for 11 years in accounts payable and then as a senior buyer and planner for a start-up tech company.
Eventually, Tamiko decided to focus her time to raising her three children and volunteer work at their schools. She was chair of the Beautification Committee at the elementary school for ten years and coordinated countless volunteer projects throughout the campus, including planting over 600 daffodil bulbs through a city program called San Jose Beautiful. The many years of volunteering and her love for gardening grew to a position as a garden design consultant.
Aside from enjoying gardening at home and assisting friends & local community with their own landscape, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, hiking, going out to dinner, concerts, and heading to the beach for sunsets.
